History
Tippett Company was formed in 1969 by Robert A. Tippett to act as a mortgage loan correspondent for a major life insurance company and to finance diversified agricultural interests in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
In 1972, Robert M. Tippett joined the family business and after his father’s passing, took over the company in 1979 and took the company in new directions, including real estate land development, commercial investments, property management, financial consulting, farming, and Real Estate Brokerage.
Bob has been a licensed Real Estate Broker in Washington since 1978, and in Oregon (Tippett Company of Oregon, LLC) since 1979. He and the Tippett Company have provided a wide variety of professional real estate services to the Columbia Basin for decades. Bob has successfully grown the family business to include his daughter Ashley Tippett-Laird, his son-in-law Charles Laird and his adopted son Kirt Shaffer.

Tippett Company’s Real Estate Brokerage activity for the past year included over $28 million in closed sales. We are developing a premier professional business park and high-end residential development, and we currently manage and lease over 5,000 acres of irrigated farmland and several premier professional office complexes.
